Product Information
Features:
- Precision and Accuracy: The solid metal weighing cell ensures exceptional accuracy and durability. Fast stabilisation times, optimised linearity and repeatability specifications, and enhanced vibration filtering contribute to reliable weighing results.
- Ease of Use: A detachable terminal with a large color touchscreen, programmable IR sensors, and a draft-shield make Explorer balances user-friendly and convenient.
- Versatility: The Explorer offers 14 weighing applications, multiple connectivity options, and a large weighing pan to accommodate various sample types and sizes.
- Performance: The built-in AutoCal™ system eliminates the need for manual calibration, and the Repeatability Test helps assess balance performance.
- Connectivity: RS-232, USB, and Ethernet interfaces allow for easy integration with other laboratory equipment and systems.
- Data Management: Internal databases store, manage, and retrieve application and system data, while the system event log records changes and user access.
- User Management: A secure user management system allows for the creation of multiple users with different access levels, ensuring data security in multi-user environments.
- Intuitive Operation: The large color touchscreen and intuitive user interface, along with features like detachable terminals and touch-less sensors, make Explorer balances easy to operate.
- Ingenious Draft-Shield: The draft-shield provides ample access and visibility to the weighing chamber, with options for motorised side doors and a versatile top door.
Built-in Application Modes:
-
Weighing - Determines the weight of items on the pan in the selected unit of measure.
-
Parts Counting - Counts the number of pieces on the pan using uniform weight.
-
Percent Weighing - Measures the weight of a sample displayed as a percentage of pre-established reference weight.
-
Check Weighing - Compares the weight of sample against target limits
- Animal/Dynamic Weighing - Weigh an unstable load. Balance takes an average of weights over a time period.
- Filling - Fill a container to a target weight. Progress bar displays filling status.
- Totalisation/Statistics - Measure cumulative weight of multiple items. Cumulative total may exceed balance capacity.
-
Formulation - For compounding and recipe making. The number of components
can be from two to 99 - Differential Weighing - Store sample weights and calculate the difference between initial weights and final weights.
- Density Determination - Determine density of solids more dense than water, solids less dense than water, liquids, or porous material.
- Peak Hold - Capture and store highest weight in a series. Both stable and unstable weights are captured.
- Ingredient Costing - Determine cost of formula or recipe based on known cost/quantity of components or ingredients.
- SQC - Monitor and/or control processes to eliminate under and over filling.
Compliance:
- Metrology: NIST Handbook 44 (NTEP CC 12-012), Measurement Canada Weights and Measures Regulations (AM-5847) (Class I, nmax 320000; Class II, nmax 42000; certified models only)
- Product Safety: IEC/EN 61010-1:2010; CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 61010-1-12; UL Std. No. 61010-1 (3rd Edition)
- Electromagnetic Compatibility: IEC 61326-1; EN 61326-1:2006 (Class B); C-Tick; FCC Part 15 (Class A); ICES-003 (Class A)
- Environment: RoHS; WEEE
